Founded in 1982, Arts Council Silicon Valley is a private, nonprofit arts organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for Santa Clara County residents by supporting arts

and culture throughout the county. As a grant making organization, we provide funding, advocacy, marketing and fundraising services to hundreds of small to midsize arts groups and artists.

Since its inception, Arts Council Silicon Valley has provided more than $24 million in grants and support services to the region's arts and cultural community.  We are not a government agency and receive minimal funding from city governments. Therefore, we must raise every dollar that goes into grants and programs. Our funding is primarily derived through funding from the County of Santa Clara, grants from local foundations, and earned income generated by the Artsopolis Marketing Partnership. The Arts Council is also a channel for corporate arts funding, through our Applied Materials Excellence in the Arts grants program and the Adobe Systems ArtsEnhance marketing and grants program.
