ABOUT CAMP
Created after Arts Council Silicon Valley conducted an extensive survey of Silicon Valley arts groups and cultural leaders, the Collaborative Arts Marketing Partnership (CAMP) works to support and enhance the marketing and audience development activities of participating arts and cultural nonprofit organizations. The comprehensive study of Silicon Valley arts marketing needs created a formalized planning process that outlined the organization, course of action, and the following programs/services, which will be the basis of the cooperative opportunities offered:

Joint Market Research CAMP will leverage existing audience research with new systems for gathering cultural consumer information in order to assist arts and cultural organizations with the interpretation and application of market research.

Organization: CAMP is guided by a ten-member Steering Committee, including one representative from each of the following four agencies:
Six additional "at-large" members with significant marketing background are also drawn from the community. Arts Council Silicon Valley serves as CAMP’s custodian and fiduciary agent, and appoints the Steering Committee.
Funding: The program is funded through a combination of grant funds, sponsorships and fees for services. CAMP launched January 2002 with $1,000,000 in funds.
