Arts Enrichment Grants Program (AEG)

The Arts Council Silicon Valley, in partnership with E3 Institute, WestEd: Advancing Excellence in Early Education will support arts organizations to develop and provide arts education programs to young children ages 0-5 and their families. This program is funded by FIRST 5 Santa Clara County.

Select Santa Clara arts organizations are participating in the 2007-2008 AEG Program by providing Arts Enrichment activities for preschoolers and their families throughout Santa Clara County at designated sites.

Through the Arts Enrichment Grants Program, we seek to:

• Provide direct, hands-on arts programming for young children and arts education opportunities for parents
• Increase awareness of the importance of artistic engagement through experiential activities as a part of early childhood development
• Include arts learning experiences for young children as part of kindergarten readiness

Participating Arts Organizations are:

• Association of Viet Arts (AVA)
• Community School of Music & Arts (CSMA)
• Kaisahan of San Jose Dance Co., Inc.
• Oriki Theater
• Triton Museum of Art
