Regional Arts Fund (RAF)
Regional Arts Fund provides general operating support to encourage professional and semi-professional arts groups throughout the Silicon Valley region. Through Regional Arts Fund we seek to:
- Support the professional development of mid-sized arts organizations (budgets between $100,000 and $2,000,000)
- Promote artistic and organizational excellence
- Award organizations that exemplify the vitality of Silicon Valley’s richly diverse region through their artistic programming and outreach
Regional Arts Fund grants are awarded in three funding categories, based on budget size.
- Level 1: Expenses in past fiscal year of $100,000 - $299,999. Maximum award $5,500
- Level 2: Expenses in past fiscal year of $300,000 - $999,999. Maximum award $9,000
- Level 3: Expenses in past fiscal year of $1 million - $2 million. Maximum award $10,000
The 2012 Regional Arts Fund grant application process is now completely online. There is no hardware or software to install. All you need is a browser. We’ve streamlined the process and eliminated the stress of assembling submission packets. You will be submitting your application via Common Grant Application.
The Common Grant Application is similar to the common college application. Other organizations also use this form. While we are able to select those items that apply to Arts Council grant programs, there are some elements that we cannot alter, namely character limits and a few required fields that you must fill out. While going through the application, always look for the Review Grantmaker Advisory button – if it appears on a page, click it to read our special instructions.
All RAF applicants are still required to submit a Cultural Data Project funder report for the past fiscal years 2010 (2009-2010) and 2011 (2010-2011). Applicants who cannot submit 2010-2011 data because of fiscal year schedule or audit process should submit two (2) years of CDP data (FY2009 and FY2010) AND submit the Supplement to CDP (download, complete, and submit as attachment).
Do not wait until the last days before application due date to set up or update your profiles. You can sign up for a free webinar training now by going to: www.caculturaldata.org
